YOUR SUPPORT HELPS
IGNITE CHILDREN’S POTENTIAL.
Your philanthropy is an integral part of the growth and success of LSA. Together with your support, we can provide programs that are vital in helping each of our students find success, both in and out of the classroom.
Our faculty and staff are experts in their areas; our small class size and ratios, combined with research-based methodologies, and theme-based, experiential, hands-on learning support our students’ distinct learning styles.
As a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, LSA relies on the caring support of many individuals and charitable organizations that recognize the School as a unique and necessary resource for the students, families, and communities we serve. As with all not-for-profit educational institutions, LSA relies on the support of parents, alumni families, and friends of the School so that can continue to provide outstanding programs and services in contemporary and well-equipped facilities. Our federal tax identification number is 22-2580920.
OUR GOAL- 100% Participation
All parents, grandparents, friends, faculty/staff, and Board of Directors are asked to make a gift to the annual fund. Your participation makes a difference to every student every day! The LSA Fund is our year long annual giving campaign, which supports field studies, technology, extracurricular activities, and needed facility expansion. While the focus of the Fund may vary from year to year, it is the School’s mission – “to ignite the educational potential of students with language and learning differences so that they may succeed in school, college, and career”-that remains the most important factor in determining where the funds are allocated. Dollars raised through our LSA Fund touch every child, every day. They enable us to recruit specialists in the field of learning disabilities; they allow for the development of new experiential learning opportunities, and they ensure that we provide the best-individualized education program for which LSA is known.
Gifts made early in the school year provide maximum benefit to our students and overall academic programs.
As part of the current year’s operating budget, your gift will immediately benefit the students and faculty of LSA. The LSA Fund supports every aspect of the School, including our students, faculty, facilities, and programs.
● Enables us to maintain an average student to educator ratio of 2:1
● Supports counseling, speech and language services, occupational therapy, all beyond the core classroom experience, and yet integral to a well-rounded education
● Offers every student the opportunity to be part of an active outdoor program and Adventurelore
● Grants an LSA experience for all for all qualified students.

Corporate Matching Gifts
Imagine your employer doubling or even tripling the amount of your gift! Many corporations have programs that match or multiply employee’s donations to nonprofit organizations. Some will also match gifts made by retirees and spouses. To enroll in a matching gift program, contact your human resources office for the appropriate forms, and forward them with your gift to LSA for completion.
Many businesses allow employees to set up payroll deductions for their charitable donations. Simply sign up through your employer to automatically have your donation sent to LSA.
LSA welcomes the donation of goods useful to our educational programs. Please contact the Office to arrange a gift.
Honorary and Memorial Gifts
Gifts may be made in honor or memory of an individual on the occasion of an anniversary, birthday, graduation, or other important life events. The family members of those being remembered or the individual so honored receive notification of the gift identifying the donor but without specifying the amount of the gift.
Every gift – large or small – truly makes a difference, and is recognized in our annual report.
