get link As a math teacher, Sean works with Lower and Upper Schools students who have limited understanding of number sense, mental math, and what math procedures truly represent. He also supervises four math teachers, writes IEP goals, develops curriculum, communicates with families and districts, and brings all of the pieces of math instruction together. As Technology Coordinator, Sean maintains all LSA-owned technology, implements new tech features, leads staff training, trains students on their technology, and resolves IT issues at the school. As Summer Academy Director, he is responsible for most aspects of LSA’s summer program. Sean holds a Masters in Elementary Education from the University of New Hampshire and is certified in the state of New Hampshire for K-8. He also has extensive training from the Center for Mathematics for All. Sean believes that students should be active learners that are engaged in the educational process, living their education, exploring, and problem solving, rather than mastering a fixed set of information.
